Refuse Collection
Wednesdays (Thursday following a Bank Holiday)
A twin-bin recycling service operates in the village. MSDC supply each household with a green bin for recycling and a black bin for rubbish. (Curiously, the MSDC waste collection calendar shows recycle weeks as blue, and rubbish collection weeks as grey; I'm sure it makes sense to bureaucrats.) The bins are emptied on alternate weeks. Bottles must not be placed in the recycling bins but taken to a bottle bank (nearest: by Earl Soham Village Hall, or at Debenham Leisure Centre). Removal of garden waste can be arranged by contacting MSDC and requesting a brown bin for the purpose.

Buses
SuffolkOnboard Service 119: Monday - Friday.
The timetable can be found here. This link changes irritatingly often, and if it doesn't work see the "Suffolk on Board" website here (see the "Buses" link - our bus is currently shown in the service 118/119 timetable). That page has other more general information about transport.
The timetables are in PDF format. If you don't have a PDF reader on your computer you can download one (free) from Adobe.
You can also phone 0845 606 6171.
Please check return times with the bus driver.
The official bus stop is Sunnyside Corner but apparently the bus will stop elsewhere if you jump up and down, wave a banner or come to some prior arrangement with the driver!

This stops outside the Community Centre at 10.00am for 15 minutes on alternate Thursdays.
